Meagre Martin is a Berlin-based indie trio crafting a unique blend of Faux-Country, New-Americana, and Indie-Rock. Led by African-American musician and songwriter Sarah Martin (guitar, she/her), the band officially formed in 2021 when she was joined by Federico “Freddy” Corazzini (drums, he/him) and Max Hirtz-Wolf (bass, he/him). Originally from the U.S., all three have found their creative home in Berlin. Drawing inspiration from Big Thief, Sharon Van Etten, and Cate Le Bon, Meagre Martin released their 2023 debut album, GUT PUNCH (Mansions and Millions), a stunning mix of raw emotion, 90s indie rock textures, and hazy shoegaze influences. The album earned international praise and took the band on the road, opening for Alt-J (North America), Chastity Belt (EU/UK), and Nation of Language (Germany) while playing festivals like SXSW, Pitchfork London, Reeperbahn Festival and ESNS. With over 55 concerts in 2024 alone, Meagre Martin shows no signs of slowing down. Their latest EP Up To Snuff came out in February 2025, marking the next step in their evolving sound.
